SIGNAL FESTIVAL

The second iteration of the project of Multiverse found its expression on the occasion of Signal Festival 2019 with Multiverse .pan, which had as a featuring characteristic the positioning of the mirrors on the sides of the projection, instead of above and below the screen.

The installation was exhibited in the Klementinum Mirror Chapel, located in the heart of Prague's historic Klementinum complex. Built between 1724 and 1726, the Chapel stands as a testament to Baroque artistry and architectural innovation of the time. Designed by Giovanni Battista Alliprandi and completed in the early 18th century, the chapel features an opulent interior adorned with intricate stuccowork, gilded decorations, and a frescoed ceiling.

One of the most important features of the Chapel is the use of mirrors in strategic places, which amplify its luminosity creating a mesmerizing effect and giving the impression of an infinite space.

Signal Festival is one of the most important festivals of digital and creative culture in Europe. In its 11-year history, it attracted 4.5 million visitors to the city of Prague, establishing itself as the most attended cultural event in the Czech Republic.

Multiverse .pan found its expression in the Klementinum Mirror Chapel through a setup that has never been recreated since. The connection between the element of the mirrors to explore themes of infinity and modified perception created an important and coherent link between the location and the installation it hosted: both harness the reflection of mirrors to transform and expand the viewer's spatial experience towards a different reality.
