Stigmergy is a silkscreen print representing one of the most iconic moment of the live-media performance Dökk. The filaments that initially describes the universe are transformed into axons and dendrites through a construction of a stigmergic nature. In this scenario, the particles go on to make up tracks that depend on those paths carried out by other particles. The result is a network structure of which the parameters are modified by gestures, which in turn become stigmergic paths within a complex network.

The print is characterised by the very high definition of the dots that make up the graphics and by the range of the greyscale, starting from a very light shade right through to an opaque black. Medulla created a palette of various intensities of grey, blending together two different types of graphite. This was necessary in order to understand into how many levels to split the print: four, of which a different tone of grey was used for each. The silkscreen print frames offer a high resolution, with a canvas of 100 threads per linear centimetre, each with a diameter of 40 microns.

Handprinted with organic colors by Medulla on Arctic Paper / Munken Print 300g, FSC certified
